On the way to Milford Sound

That evening the yearly nude tunnel run was held for the 10th time, close by Milford Sound. About a 100 people meet at the start of the tunnel, take off their clothes, a bus brings them to the end of the tunnel and then they run down. It's actually a competition, but it's only 1.4 km, so just a few minutes. After that they go to the only pub in town and drink beers. Seemed like the perfect way to spend my evening, always up for naked activities, but Luke didn't want to go... too bad!

Ready for a jumping picture...
Definitely need to improve my timing...

Getting ready for skydiving!
 Chickieeeesss :)
Sweet as!!!
Couldn't be happier :)

Golden Bay

The Golden Bay is a place that you don't want to leave! I loved it there. I stayed in Annie's Nirvana Lodge (could it be 'annie' better) after my french travel mate hit the road again. I was supposed to join him but i wanted to stay.
The day i arrived it was raining a lot so i went to a cafe called Dangerous Kitchen (a tip from Marit, thanx!) and stayed there for a hours listening to the live music, writing, drinking a wine.
I talked to the singer of the band and she told me about a H.A.N.D.S. market the next day. H.A.N.D.S. is a Local Employment & Trading System created more than 20 years ago at a time of high unemployment when about 60 equality-based "Green Dollar" exchange systems were forming in New Zealand. Only 2 community's, working with this system, are left. The community feeling is strong in the Golden Bay, i think that's why i liked being there so much.
Shower!
the H.A.N.D.S market
Wharariki beach. B-E-A-UTIFUL!
At night we went to the Mussel Bar because we were told that there would be live music. And lucky as we were it was Adam Page performing with Mal Webb. Together: Webb Page.
That was hilarious and good. Even better than at WOMAD.
Playing the beard
Riding on the beach. Always wanted to do that.
